For believers of the three religions, Christians, Muslims, Jews, announcing the end of the world in this way is blasphemy. Only God can know when and how He will end the world. Also considering the Maya as a people not believing in God,believing in this is a greater fault .
A reality.
If we consider that the translations of Mayans griphes were accurate, if we consider that the Mayans were very good time counters, if we consider that the Mayans counted the time to report celestial events, terrestrial, political, or other socials, we can say that something will happen between 2011 and 2013.
A wrong interpretation.
A Regina man who was trained as a Mayan timekeeper said that the end of the ancient Mayan calendar does not mean the end of the world. 21 December 2012 marks the end of the 5-125th of the calendar year in the Mayan Long Count.
This has led to faulty interpretations with regard to end of time prophecies and predictions, including hundreds of thousands of apocalyptic websites and blogs on the Internet and even movies depicting the end of the world.
Leonzo Barreno, who immigrated to Canada from Guatemala in 1989, was formed by the ancient Maya to read old calendars.
He said that the end of next year 2012 will begin a new calendar cycle.
"This has happened before, and according to this old is the fifth time it happened," he has said.
Barreno said that the beginning of the cycle is something to celebrate and not be afraid of.
